Tambinos specialises in offering toy hire and baby equipment hire in Cape Town, South Africa.
Our toys and equipment are safe and hygienic, and we use trusted brands. We offer rental discounts for extended rental periods, delivery, installation, dismantling and collection.

GOOD TO KNOW
At Tambino’s we consider the safety of our equipment and toys to be of the utmost importance.
All our baby equipment undergoes a stringent safety inspection before it is deemed suitable for hire on each occasion it is booked out. Moreover, all products are thoroughly cleaned using antibacterial products before they are packaged for delivery.
As soon as any toy/piece of equipment is deemed to be more than “gently worn” it is removed from the stock list. In a nutshell, if we don’t deem it useable for our children, we won’t rent it out.
Rental discounts are available as follows:
- 8 or more days receive 10% discount
- 15 days or more, receive 15% discount
- 21 days or more, receive 20% discount on daily rates
A fully refundable deposit is required for ALL hire periods. This deposit is over and above rental rates.
We deliver in and around the great city of Cape Town if required, however, do charge for it additionally.
Options available
- One of our Tambinos Team members will meet you at your car rental company 30-45 minutes after your flight has landed. Please note that we ONLY allow for a 30 minute wait time from the time we arrive. Long waits cannot always be accommodated in peak season and can be charged for additionally at our discretion.
Cost per trip is R280. - Delivery to Air BNB / Hotel / Holiday Accommodation or other venue quoted per km. This is a personal delivery by our Tambinos Team with set up available at your CHOSEN day/time
- Courier Services (anytime between 09h00 -16h00) – 48 hrs notice required for us to book this service. Please note someone MUST be available during the day to receive the items
- Uber Parcel Services (Booked by you at a mutually convenient time)
Please note:
Sunday deliveries are available but do incur additional costs as per our quote
- Collection of the items from our premises in Sunningdale, Cape Town, is available by appointment only
We accept all forms of payment. You are welcome to do an EFT, pay us in cash on delivery, or use our credit card facilities via PayFast. Upfront payment is required to confirm your booking unless payment on delivery has been arranged. No exceptions. No payment, No delivery
Your booking is ONLY confirmed once Tambinos has received the signed & completed booking form and terms and conditions. Thereafter you will receive a confirmation email finalizing all the details.
All baby equipment is rented out PER day, and NOT per night. Your rental will start from the day of delivery till the day it is collected or returned regardless of the time of day that is. We do not double book items, especially due to hygiene reasons, as all items require proper cleaning before being able to go out on another rental. This also allows for clients whose departure or arrival times change so that we can ensure their items are available for the day/time it is booked.
Tambinos install / set up / assemble most of our equipment but we are, by law, not allowed to install car seats for our clients. This is for your child’s safety and ours. Basic instructions for car seat installation can be found printed on the car seat itself as a guide. If required, we can also send you a link to a video for installation of that specific brand.
